The Harris Homestead is located about 2 miles away from us. We have always seen the sign at the mailbox and wondered if they were related to the Sylvester Harris that built our house. I saw a flier for the Heritage Days Festival that the Homestead does once a year, and it had a web address. Sure enough, William Harris was Sylvester's father, so we hopefully they will have some good info about our house.
